United Nations Volunteers: How to volunteer
United Nations Volunteers is inspired by the conviction that volunteerism is a powerful means of engaging people in tackling development challenges worldwide. Everyone can contribute their time, skills and knowledge through volunteer action, and their combined efforts can be a significant force for achieving peace and development.
As part of Project abroad's "Teen" cultural exchange projects, volunteers will be part of a group of international teens from at least 4 other countries and will be supervised by project leaders from our partner organizations in each country. This type of project is limited to teens within a certain age range and is more focused on cultural exchange than on volunteer work.
