Like a Russian fairy tale - the Borisova gradina (Boris' Garden') or Knyaz-Borisova gradina - the oldest park in Sofia, Bulgaria. Its construction began in 1884 and it is commonly named after Bulgarian Tsar Boris III [Wikipedia]. The original design was by the Swiss designer, Daniel Neff. In 1889, a large lake was added and later avenues and a fountain; in 1934, a large rose garden. Shown here is a hand-carved wooden house by Racho Angelov." [GardenVisit.com]
