Brightly colored starling with a smooth, "silky" appearance. The male has a very contrasting white head and orange underparts. The female is simpler, with less contrast and white restricted to the forehead. Very similar, the chestnut-tailed starling is not sexually dimorphic; also note the grayer head and shorter bill.
