FREE Kindergarten Writing Station These are great for beginning readers in kindergarten to practice building sentences. They are perfect for literacy centers, daily morning work. These are specifically designed for beginning writers and beginning readers.
This is part of the free editing set from First Grade Wow. For kindergarten, I use it to show what they can do (smiley face in the check box) and what their newest personal challenge is (I highlight the check box). They keep it in their writing folders. It helps differentiate learning and gives each student focus. There are many other useful pages in the packet, too. All free!
We've been working on finding the main idea of passages and paragraphs within a text. We've also been writing sentences and are ready to write an informative/explanatory paragraph on a topic (Common Core W.2.2 and W.3.2). I'm going to use Margaret Wise Brown's The Important Book as a model for our writing.
