PLEASE BE KIND AND PIN POLITELY! We ask that you limit your pins to *25 per day*, which is more than the Pinterest suggested 5-10 a day. I have had to do this due to people taking 100 or more pins at a time. Please *follow the boards you are interested in* and take a few at a time. Pins are added every day, so you want to keep an eye out for new pins. Thank you for understanding and Happy Pinning!
Carol II of Romania's other children and their descendants
Carol/Prince Mircea getting married to his 2nd wife, Thelma Jeanne Williams, in Paris, 20 Dec. 1960. This was, I'm guessing, the civil ceremony as royals often have a civil and a religious wedding. Thelma was the mother of Carol/Mircea's 2nd and youngest child, Ion George Nicholas Alexander Lambrino/von Hohenzollern. He is known by Alexander; pics are hard to find.
Carol II (1893 – 1953) reigned as King of Romania from 1930 until 1940. Eldest son of Ferdinand, King of Romania, & his wife, Queen Marie, a daughter of Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, the second eldest son of Queen Victoria. He was the first of the Romanian royal family who was baptized in the Orthodox rite. Carol married 1921, Princess Helen of Greece & Denmark. The marriage soon collapsed in the wake of Carol's affair with Elena "Magda" Lupescu
Joanna "Zizi" Lambrino, 1st wife of King Carol II of Romania, with their son, Mircea. Lambrino was forced to leave Romania after the birth of her son and the 2 settled in Paris. During his reign Carol II recognized Mircea as a prince several times. He was also recognized as a "Prinz von Hohenzollern" by the Princely House of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, the House to which the Romanian Royal Family belonged.
Crown Prince Carol with his first wife, Joanna "Zizi" Lambrino, a daughter of a Romanian general whom he wed on 31 August 1918 in Russia. Since she was a commoner and a Romanian the marriage violated Romania's constitution and Carol's father, King Ferdinand, forced an annulment 7 months later. The couple continued living together, however, and they had a son, Mircea Gregor Carol Lambrino, on 8 Jan. 1920.
