Riot Police beating woman anti-fracking protester in Pungesti, Romania! Chevron is using our own authorities, paid from our taxes...against us! Many were hospitalized and the villagers are under siege, the area being declared of "special interest". Press is not allowed and neither is anyone who is not a resident. US energy giant Chevron has resumed its search for shale gas in north-eastern Romania after hundreds of riot police reportedly brutally removed a bunch of villagers who had been camping out at the site protesting the company’s plan.
