GRAND DUCHESS ELLA'S EMERALD SAUTOIRE Worn by Queen Marie of Yugoslavia. It ended up in Yugoslavia, but has origins with the Romanovs. The Sautoir and kokoshnik were made by Bolin for Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna (née Princess Ella of Hesse; sister of Tsarina Alexandra). The cabochon emeralds in the tiara were given to Ella by her mother-in-law, Tsarina Maria Alexandrovna of Russia. In 1908, Ella gave the tiara to her niece, Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna,"the Younger"

Queen Wilhelmina (1880-1962) wore a Sapphire Tiara which was given to her by the people of the Netherlands on occasion of her wedding to Prince Heinrich of Mecklenburg-Schwerin in 1901. The parure, designed by the firm Vila Israel and made by Hoeting from more than 800 pieces, was included a very large Indian diamond for the center.
