Filthy, horrible old steam engines (and a lot more) is probably what the owner of the sparkling white Ford said as his journey along the A5 near Atherstone was rudely interrupted by the passage of a light steam loco belching smoke. The loco was William Francis a rare Beyer-Peacock Garrett 0-4-4-0 (6841/1937) working from the main site of Baddesley Colliery to the exchange sidings with the West Coast line.
