We found this gorgeous antique bathtub in one of the rooms at Conacul Bratescu! It's an original one, bought from Poland and reconditioned. It looks amazing and it gives such a charming atmosphere to this room! Can't wait to book this room next time at Bratescu Manor!

Count Kalnoky’s Guesthouses are some amazing traditional cottages in the heart of Miclosoara village, 50 km away from Brasov. They date back from the 1800s and each of them has been restored and renovated, but keeping the original and traditional style(in both architecture and decorations). The houses are small, exactly as they used to be in the old times, when they were used by the locals, and they have all sorts of traditional elements that remind us of our summer vacations at our…

Choosing a room at Bratescu Manor is almost impossible! Each of the rooms has a special design, totally different. You will not find two similar rooms at Bratescu Manor, and that's quite amazing! Traditional Romanian inspiration in one room, charming exquisite details in another one, colorful details, hand painted night stands and manually crafted decorations.

Bratescu Manor is one of the most beautiful manors in Romania, and guess what, it's only 10 minutes walk away from Bran Castle! You'll find here a charming boutique hotel, with amazingly designed rooms (each room has a different design) and great cozy atmosphere! Totally recommend this place if you plan to visit Romania and Bran Castle!

Can't believe my bed is made of old traditional Romanian clothing! All those colored fabrics are actually "fotas", which is something similar to carpets, sewed manually and worn over the traditional skirts. My grandmother used to have lots of fotas, I also have one at home which I'm trying to integrate in my wardrobe. This room was heaven on earth for me!

Just a 15 minutes walk from Bran Castle you'll find this amazing place called Conacul Bratescu, a family-run business where you feel like visiting some old friends. Looks like a boutique hotel, but we think it is more than that. Nice interior decorations, traditional combined with modern designs, manor-like architecture and above all... attention to details, which makes all the difference!

At Miclosoara you have a wooden bench on the stoop, corn cabs hanging on the edge of the roof, hand painted mud bowls, sturdy wooden doors with iron latches, windows with wooden carpentry and thick linen curtains with handmade laced edging. So everything looks like you’re back in time, and you see what it feels like to live simpler and more authentic:)

One of the most beautiful rooms at Conacul Bratescu, so romantic and stylish! Loved the grey wooden beams, the salmon blankets and chairs, the romantic curtains with lace insertions.

This gorgeous corner was part of our room at Conacul Bratescu. We simply loved that glass board, made of traditional Romanian clothing. Such a great inspiration for our future home!

Breakfast at Conacul Bratescu is amazing! Homemade food, fresh ingredients, traditional dishes and... the best home cooked bread we've ever tasted! And delicious jams, lots of delicious jams! And by the way, coffee always comes with a piece of homemade cake, absolutely delicious and always different :) So drink plenty of coffees at Conacul Bratescu :)

This gorgeous room was our home for two days :) And guess what, it inspired us to create a similar corner in our future house :) We also want a hidden treasure in the attic, wooden beams, perfectly white walls, antique details, an old sewing machine, a corner for stunning gowns and attic roof windows, to hear the rain and see the thunders :) As George Ezra says in his "Did you hear the rain?" great song :)

What draws your attention at Kalnoky's Guesthouses is the homelike atmosphere. Everyone dines together, at the same table, in the courtyard or in the cellar, the food is shared from large and generous platters, people get together and talk as if they would knew each other for a lifetime. And to tell you the truth, this is exactly the kind of tourism that we appreciate!

This cute and authentic building was the pub in Miclosoara village, belonging to Count Kalnoky's Guesthouses. I was recently opened and it has a really nice bar (where the local wines can be tried) and a souvenir shop with handmade products.
