Hotel Ranga is famous for its gourmet cuisine and what is even more interesting and fun is that they publish their recipes on their website! If you like how does this salmon look like (we can guarantee that the taste was simply PERFECT), you can make your own dish by following the instructions from their Recipe Booklet which can be found here: http://www.hotelranga.is/about-us/brochures-and-more/

There's no doubt that the best dessert at Ranga Hotel is the skyr with oat crumble and berries! No doubt at all! Or any other dessert that includes skyr! Skyr is very popular in Iceland and very healthy as well. Made of heavy cream and a bit of vanilla and gelatin = Heaven on Earth! :)

One of the highlights at Hotel Ranga is for sure the exterior Jacuzzi! They have three of them situated in the back of the hotel and they are open until 11PM each day. Imagine standing in the hot water while admiring the Northern Lights during wintertime :)

Hotel Ranga is one of the most beautiful hotels in Iceland, a 4 star resort in southern Iceland with such a simple yet cozy and log cabin look like architecture. Spending a few days here feels like visiting some friends.

Hotel Ranga is one of the best hotels in Iceland. A typical Icelandic building, with only one floor, makes us think that we arrived in front of a locals house, not a hotel. Wood everywhere, a rustic atmosphere and a log cabin architecture, with large rooms along the building, with stunning views towards the magnificent southern Iceland landscape. It looks like a tranquility oasis!

Wooden corridor at Ranga Hotel makes you feel as you have arrived at a log cabin somewhere on the top of the mountain :) Everything looks so cozy, so tempting for relaxation after a long hiking day in the southern part of Iceland!

Hotel Ranga has 51 different rooms, standard, deluxe and suites. We had a very nice decorated DELUXE room, with volcano drawings on the wall (every room has different paintings). However, the cream of the crop are the suites, each of them inspired, designed and themed by the seven continents. You can find details about each room at the below link: http://www.hotelranga.is/accommodation

Hotel Ranga looks like a tranquility oasis and honestly, after all that climbing on the rocks and shivering in front of Langjokull glacier, we truly need some relaxation :) This photo was taken on Kaldidalur route, on our way to Hella, Hotel Ranga
