History - Pride Rainbow: 1994 (Happy Pride 2021!)

For the 25th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, activist and Pride flag creator Gilbert Baker was commissioned to make the world’s largest rainbow flag for New York Pride 1994 as pictured here. A giant display of power, solidarity and triumph for Queer people, the rainbow flag is continually used to showcase love and celebration.
