John Atkinson Grimshaw

Southwark Bridge and St Paul's.' Painted in 1883 when John Atkinson Grimshaw was at height of his career, this picture even impressed Whistler, who is reputed to have remarked 'I thought I had invented the Nocturne, until I saw Grimmy's moonlights.' High praise indeed.
