Art Around the World has EASY lessons for busy teachers. I am also a teacher and expected to cover all curriculum areas, but that doesn't mean we don't have time for art. The secret: integration! I've created. These fun lessons have teacher scripts to read aloud about each country and customs, step-by-step photo instructions, and a simple supply list.

Khamsa Hands (or Good luck Hands). This lesson stems from N. African Cultural art. This project was great with students of all ages. The younger ones may need help tracing their hands, but this also teaches them basic mechanics. Hands can be embellish with some really cool sequins, foil, glittler, etc. Have fun!

Welcome! I am a Kodály inspired and Kodály aspiring music teacher. I aspire to create a environment of "Music for Everyone!", where children love to sing, play, move, create, read, write, and understand music! Here I will share my thoughts and experiences in the elementary music classroom. I hope to inspire others with ideas towards teaching children the joy and love of a life filled with music!
