kelvin ip imagines dystopian, factional hong kong in last resort // it’s 2047, and on the fringes of an overthrown hong kong lies a massive citadel; home to the deposed rebels of the fallen city. through carefully deployed urban planning, emboldened architecture, and symbolic sculptural motifs, the fictional creation by kelvin ip is a warning, and critique, of china’s trajectory.

Paolo Soleri (1919-2013), the founder of Arcosanti In his philosophy "arcology” (architecture + ecology), Soleri formulated a path that may aid us on our evolutionary journey toward a state of aesthetic, equity, and compassion.  In 1970, the Cosanti Foundation began building Arcosanti, an experimental town in the high desert of Arizona, 70 miles north of metropolitan Phoenix. A dozen buildings used for current activities occupy a small fraction of the full 860 acres of Arcosanti property.
