Raggiana Bird-of-Paradise - (Paradisaea raggiana) is the national bird of Papua New Guinea and in 1971 this species was included on the national flag. It is distributed widely in southern and north eastern New Guinea, where its name is Kumul.
The Ornate Hawk-Eagle (Spizaetus ornatus) is a bird of prey from the tropical Americas. Like all eagles, it is in the family Accipitridae. This species is notable for its vivid colors, which differ markedly between adult and immature birds.
REGENT BOWERBIRD, male, is black with bright orange/yellow crown and yellow-tipped wings. The female bird is medium brown with white spotted markings. The Regent Bowerbird is native to the rainforest and margins of Eastern Australia.
