Ingredients

Spiced banana cake bread

• 3 overripe bananas

• 1 box spice cake mix (or use yellow)

• 1/2 cup (1 stick) melted, unsalted butter

• 2 eggs

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°

• Mash bananas in a bowl

• Then the melted butter, eggs, vanilla and salt. Mix together with a hand mixer. Add cake mix and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips

• Pour into a greased or parchment lined loaf pan and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

• if it starts browning too fast on top after 30 minutes cooking, cover it with foil for the

• rest of the baking time

• Let cool 10 minutes before slicing
