III the Great (Polish: Kazimierz III Wielki) April 1310 – 5 November who reigned in was the last King of Poland from the Piast dynasty, the son of King Władysław I the Elbow-high and Duchess Hedwig of Kalisz.
"The Organisation" The basic mounted element of the Order's forces was the Gleve or Lance, see Medieval German Pages for more detail ( Feudal Forces). These lances were grouped together into Banners which formed the standard combat units of the army.
