The best time to really see Madrid is during night time. That is when the city is flooded with lights and people are swarming the streets in search for the best restaurant, bar or club. The Spanish capital gets a whole different look after the sun sets and it’s a real experience.
Today’s daily dose of cuteness comes from an unlikely place… a train station in Madrid. No kidding! These cute little fellows live in Atocha railway station in the Spanish capital and I think it’s the only station in the world where you don’t mind if your ride is late.
This weekend’s inspiration comes from those quiet moments in the middle of a bustling city. This one in particular was on a tiny blue boat in Parque del Retiro, in the heart of Madrid. The entire city was loud and filled with life, but for a few minutes everything stood still and all I could hear were a few birds swimming around me and the faint voices of people strolling the park.
Port of Barcelona
With this bad weather (there’s even snow in March, how can that be?!?), all I’m thinking about is the good old sunny days of summer. Coincidentally, this photo was also taken in March, just a few years ago. I remember how amazing the weather was in Barcelona, so warm and sunny, I instantly melted, after so many months of winter.
