It’s pretty difficult to admire the Florence Cathedral in all it’s glory, unless you’re willing to hike all the way up to Piazzale Michelangelo or other high places around the city. If you are not interested in breaking a sweat, then you can get a great view from Piazza della Santissima Annunziata, not too far from the actual Duomo.
This random pic I took while being stuck for hours in the heavy mid-day traffic on A4 Serenissima in Italy. This is the reason why I enjoy driving through Italy so much, even on highways – you always get tiny snapshots of the ordinary day-to-day lives of the people who live in those small towns.
Corner of Genoa
Exploring the streets of Genoa is quite an adventure, particularly for an architecture buff like me. Everywhere you turn you get an amazing building. For instance, this beautiful church. I didn’t even suspect that, on a dead end street like this there would be such a gem.
