The font they chose for "CAMP" makes them look like totem pole lettering, which the viewer would associate with summer camp experiences. The font is also simple, but effective in getting the camp thought across.
Ji Lee creates typographic illustrations that cleverly relate to the words themselves for his Word as Image series. Logos that involve words can often be playful with elements close to typographic, creating a new way to perceive the message.
What I like about this logo would be that the designer used serif and sans serif fonts, because they really complement each other. But one thing that I dislike would be that the designer put LAUR DRAE & COMPANY in the middle of the logo.
