The Inspector Morse series was probably my favorite Masterpiece Mystery detective series. The books by Colin Dexter were also good.

Statue of Sir Winston Churchill, London. Before he passed Winston told the powers that be that he didn't want a statue of himself put up as he did not want pigeons pooping on his head. They did put up a statue but put an electric strip just under the top of his head, no pigeon can sit and poop on his head!!.
