Sold in May 2019 in Houston, Texas by Simpson Galleries for $170,000 USD (higher than estimated).
Location was Chickawaukie Pond near Rockland, Maine.
The painting, personally inscribed, was a gift from Andrew Wyeth to the model’s father, Wendell Hadlock, who was the curator of the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine from 1951-1976.
