Princess Ileana of Rumania
Princess Ileana of Romania (5 Jan. 1909--21 Jan. 1991), 5th child and 3rd daughter of Queen Marie and King Ferdinand of Romania. Like her mother, Princess Ileana did much humanitarian work. She organized the Girl Reserves of the Red Cross and the 1st school of social work in Romania. During WWII she established a hospital for wounded Romanian soldiers at her and her husband's castle in Austria. Ileana was also an avid sailor and owned and sailed her own boat.
Long Live all the magic we made.
My favorite photo of Princess Ileana of Romania. Ileana married Archduke Anton of Austria-Hungary, the first union between Queen Victoria's family and the Habsburg dynasty. The marriage to Anton ended in divorce, as did a 2nd marriage, after which Ileana became an Orthodox nun, going by the name Mother Alexandra.
