Takachiho is a town located in Nishiusuki District, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. Takachiho Gorge, located in the southern part of town, is fairly famous as a tourist attraction. Takachiho Gorge is a narrow chasm cut through the rock by the Gokase River.
Puzzlewood Forest, said to be one of Tolkien’s inspirations for Middle-Earth in The Lord of the Rings, Gloucestershire, England - I can't imagine seeing this place and NOT basing a fantasy world around it! I wonder how similar it looked in Tolkien's day?
