August 1861 photo of the Four Courts building featuring a domed tower above a neo-classical façade of the court building which stands in the background. In the foreground stands the O'Donovan Rossa Bridge spanning the River Liffey. Erroneously titled as 'Trinity College, Dublin', this is a photograph of The Four Courts which comprise the High Court, The Supreme Court, The Court of Appeal and the Dublin Circuit Court. Construction of the building began in 1786 and was not complete until 1802.
