Fort Smith, Arkansas - 1890s - West Bank, Arkansas River looking NNE = after the turn of the century up until about the 1940's, thick blocks of ice was cut when the river was frozen, and taken on wagons pulled by horses into the city to sell to those who had "ice boxes"
