31K views · 699 reactions | Now THIS is the type of salad we can get behind 🤤 We're still scratching our heads on how we didn't know about this sooner...using crispy smashed potatoes in our potato salads 🤯 We saw @Ahmad Noori make this mesmerizing crispy herby potato salad and that immediately had us taking to the kitchen to recreate. Ingredients 4 teaspoons kosher salt, divided, plus more to taste 3 pounds baby gold potatoes 3 tablespoons olive oil. divided 3/4 teaspoon pepper, divided, plus more to taste 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill, plus more for garnish 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish 1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced, divided Directions 1. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Add 1 tablespoon salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-high; cook until potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork, 12 to 15 minutes; drain. 2. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or foil. 3. Coat the prepared baking sheet with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add potatoes in a single layer onto the pan. Using a heavy bottomed jar or glass, smash potatoes to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness, taking care not to fully separate the potatoes. Drizzle smashed potatoes evenly with remaining oil; sprinkle with remaining teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and garlic powder. 4. Roast potatoes in the preheated oven, until very crispy and browned, about 30 minutes. 5. While potatoes are roasting, prepare the dressing. Combine remaining 1/4 teaspoon pepper with sour cream, mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, dill, and parsley. Reserve 1 tablespoon green onion for garnish; add remaining green onions to the sour cream mixture. Stir well to combine. Taste for seasoning and adjust as desired. 6. Reserve 1/4 cup crispy potatoes for topping and stir remaining potatoes with dressing until well coated. Add to a serving dish and top with reserved green onion, crispy potatoes, and more dill and parsley as desired. #crispypotatosalad #saladrecipes #trendingrecipes #easysalads | Alldelishes II | Alldelishes II · Original audio

1.6M views · 44K reactions | This is a reminder that you only need a windowsill to grow something you can eat. I love this green garlic because unlike growing whole garlic bulbs, which need months, and space and sunlight, you can have fresh green garlic in just a couple of weeks. There is a full reel on growing green garlic on my page ‘how to grow green garlic’ but it’s very simple. Peel the cloves - this is two bulbs - and pack them in a little dish. Pour water over and change the water everyday. Harvest your garlic as a when you want it, it will regrow several times before the bulbs are tired and ready to go in the compost. I use them to make these super simple flatbreads, as well as in omelettes, green garlic mayo and to add to soups, pasta dishes and risotto. flatbreads:At its simplest you can make the flatbreads with just two ingredients - Equal weight self raising flour and plain yoghurt. Then the olive oil is optional, just a splash. Salt is a must. Make as much dough as you need. These days I do it by eye. Chop the greens and add them to the dough. Cook the breads for a few minutes each side in a hot pan. Make a garlic butter by adding more greens to the bubbling butter. Eaten here with a dal which uses lentil greens also grown on my windowsill. Again a full reel on that on my page. #windowsillgarden #growfood #greengarlic #marfskitchengarden | Marfskitchengarden | James Quinn · A Gentle Sunlight

2.8M views · 39K reactions | Ranch Smashed Baby Carrots 🥕 | 4 ingredients and are ready in 30 minutes. Everyone will be finishing their plates with this at the dinner table! | By Live Eat Learn | These are my crispy Ranch Baby Carrots and they are a game changer. Boil your carrots until they're tender and then strain them and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. After you dry them super well, lay them on a bed of Parmesan cheese and then the fun part, put some mussel into it and smash those to flatten, brush with some oil, and then sprinkle with ranch seasoning mix. Once these cool, they'll turn into crispy Parmesan carrot chips that are perfect for snacking. I think you're going to love them. Let me know if you try it out and happy cooking. I
