"Historical State of Jefferson Barb Wire Collection" Wreath. This wire features a Thomas H. Dodge and Charles G. Washburn patent, dated March 28, 1893. This wire is called "Dodge & Washburn's Four Point Barb-All Aluminum" (ref. Hagemeier 556-B). This wire features two twisted together line wires. Barbs are four pointed, made by wrapping two round barbing wires together around one of the two line wires. Both of the line wires, and all of the barbing wires are made of solid aluminum.
