Zenobia was a warrior queen who ruled the ancient city of Palmyra in the 3rd century AD. She was born in Palmyra, which is located in modern-day Syria, and was the daughter of a wealthy and influential family. In 267 AD, Zenobia's husband, Odaenathus, who was the ruler of Palmyra, was assassinated. Following his death, Zenobia assumed the regency for her young son Vaballathus and eventually took the throne as the queen herself. Zenobia was a skilled military leader and expanded her kingdom.

I decided to combine two of my passions with this project. I wanted to design a historical character. I had a lot of fun working on this :) I got to do some history research and practice my design and drawing skills.
