Owl is an anthropomorphic owl from the Winnie the Pooh franchise that first appeared in Disney's animated short Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree. Owl's character is based on the stereotype of the "wise old owl", though his "wisdom" is sometimes questionable. Owl was hatched in a tree near Eeyore's Gloomy Place in the Hundred Acre Wood.
