I positively love Scotland, in large part because of its amazing islands. During previous trips to the Orkney Isles and the Isle of Skye I knew that there was one area I had yet to see - the Outer Hebrides. This trip provided the opportunity to explore both Lewis and Harris while simultaneously re-visiting the Isle of Skye. Luckily, the weather cooperated beautifully. We found the Recumbent Drombeg Stone Circle in a pastoral valley that was very similar to the one where Coppinger's Court is situated. The lovely recumbent stone circle is also known as The Druid's Altar, and from its location on the edge of a rocky terrace, worshippers presided over a view that gently sweeps down to the Atlantic ocean a mere 1.6 kilometres away.
