I go through the same hole I came up from and use this mini loop as an anchor for my first chain stitch (technically reverse chain stitch). As you can see, I place my stitches very close together to achieve a nice textured effect, which also allows for neater curves and an overall nicer look. It’s definitely worth the extra time it takes! Who else is a slow stitcher?! 🖤 I used three strands of thread, I’m stitching onto a linen blend and I use the pilot Frixion markers to draw my design.
