It was our lucky day when we spotted a local skip full of rocks and pebbles where someone had just got rid of a pond! Remember to check Facebook marketplace! Ben dug a few different levels and included a slope in the hole so that wildlife could easily get in and out . Who knew that the sloped “beach” area would also become a daily bird bath. We lined the pond and then added plenty of oxygenating plants to help keep the water clear. Within weeks we spotted frogs and newts in the pond and it made it all worth it!
