I like to build exercises that tests the horses brain, and helps the rider improve how their horse uses its body and reacts to their aids, so each clinic will typically include lines like you see here, but I never repeat the same layout at the same venue!

Nina Gill on Instagram: "Now, I’m definitely someone who likes using lots of poles for my whole layout in my polework clinics, but the majority of the exercises we do are actually made up of just a few poles, so I need my layout to break down into lots of smaller exercises like the one you can see here! You can see how the trot becomes far more elevated, the joints in the legs bend more and the range of motion increases as the horse goes over the poles in comparison to how the trot is both before and after the poles! As the poles are set on a bending line you will also get better hind leg engagement and it will also help the horses bend when ridden correctly ( it definitely isn’t a magic fix unfortunately!)
