Here I work with the papier-mâché strip method: strips of newspaper glued onto an armature that I made from recycled cardboard, paper and masking tape. The glue I’m using is a natural wheat paste glue: 1 part wheat flour and 5 parts water. Mix well and bring to a boil. When a little bit thick (like a cream) remove from heat. So... how did I get here? (the process in review) Like all of my paper maché critters...their humble beginnings can be traced back to recycling bins and masking tape. Lots of masking tape!
