Macbeth crown

This is a crown I made for a production of Macbeth. I started out by designing my crown template in photoshop, through research I found that flor de lis were a very popular royal decoration for the Scottish and English royals during the time when Macbeth is set. I also found that the velvet red cap that is used on the current crown jewels of Scotland was not used until 1540. I then cut out my design and transfered it to foamed pvc, I then cut it out using a scalpel. I then sanded,the whole…

"New honors come upon him, / Like our strange garments, cleave not to their mold / But with the aid of use," (1.144-146) In this quote the clothes are used as imagery as Banquo sees that Macbeth is uncomfortable in his new title. This relates to clothes in the way that old clothes are always more comfortable than new ones, and Banquo compares this as Macbeth will never be as comfortable with his new title than he was with his old one.

Macbeth Even after fulfilling his ambition, Macbeth could not stop the blood on his hand. "So is he mine, and in such bloody distance That every minute of his being thrusts Against my near’st of life." This shows that now Macbeth is trying to kill his friend, Banquo, even after Macbeth became a king. The phrase, "That every minute of his being thrusts Against my near’st of life", shows Macbeth's fear of losing power.
