This is the grave stele of Dexileos at Kerameikos, Athens 394BC. The subject died in a cavalry fight at Corinth in 394 BC. He was in his twenties. He was buried with the war-dead at the Public Monument (Demosian Sema) in Athens. This stele was set up for him at the family burial plot.
