An F-4 "Phantom" supersonic fighter aircraft is landing on the flight deck of the USS Forrestal. The F-4's tailhook has just caught one of the cables across the deck. You can see it just behind the word "Navy." The beginning of sudden deceleration has lifted the front landing wheel off the deck. A fortunate shot at just the right moment. The Forrestal was in the Atlantic Ocean, near Jacksonville, Florida.
