The fairy that inspired it all! When I was in first grade my parents gave me a book - Flower Fairies of the Trees by Cecily M. Barker. I was obsessed! I memorized the Lilac Flower fairy poem and recited it in front of my class in the first grade. I was terrified! I still have the poem memorized by heart to this day.
