Soil health is key to your garden success. To prepare garden beds, I like to reuse and repurpose cardboard whenever and wherever I can. Cardboard is also great for suppressing and killing weeds. I use it between crops to allow the soil in the garden bed to rest while killing off the weeds. Be sure not to use cardboard with toxic ink or other materials.

♻️ Process:
1. Clear old plants from garden bed
2. Cover bed with cardboard
3. Wet the cardboard
4. Leave cardboard in place 2-4 weeks or through the winter if you are not planting until spring.
5. Add rich nutrients back into the soil (compost, worm castings and fertilizer).
