The German A7V Sturmpanzerwagen N° 504 named "Schnuck" was captured at Frémicourt by the New Zealand Division on August 31, 1918, today 106 years ago.

"Schnuck" was originally planned to be a cargo-carrying vehicle but became an A7V Sturmpanzerwagen instead. The tank was first deployed on April 24, 1918 in the Second Battle of Villers-Bretonneux, famous for being the first ever tank-on-tank battle in history. "Schnuck" was involved in a successful German push and survived the battle. "Schnuck" went on to serve in an indecisive attack near Reims on June 1 before being lost in battle on August 31 at Frémicourt near Bapaume.
