More staples of punk fashion- bright, garish coloured hair, spikes, chains, pattern trousers/leggings/skirt (tartan was, and still is, particular popular) and of course, the infamous Mohawk.

Goth- This was another subgroup in the 90's. Smudged black eye make-up and pale skin was essential in their look. Their hair was often dyed black and they typically had an androgynous look wearing all black clothing and platform shoes. They also had grotesque body modifications.
