This mug is reserved. If it's not reserved for you, please don't purchase. This mug is thrown on the wheel and altered by hand. The layers were created by adding tiny hand-rolled coils that I blend downward into the piece, leaving the top edge to give the illusion of many layers. The rim of the mug is cut to mimic the lines of the layers. Textures are either rolled onto each layer from a stamp handmade by myself from bisque fired clay, or created using the sandpapered end of a small paint…

This large coral reef decor is an extension of my smaller hand-formed 3D wall art coral sculptures. The wall hanging has been worked on a washed walnut slightly distressed effect which really makes the sea textured elements stand out.
