Maxi dress, easy to sew: just 4 rectangles. Measure shoulder to hem length, then girth at widest part (hips?) and divide by Add seam allowance. Sew allowing for neckline, arm holes. No pattern needed.

Apparently the neck is tricky to make. But could it work to "tailor" a boatneck or shirt you cut the collar out of?

Smunch/ front pleat top - burdastyle pattern ~ very stylish way to draw up a neckline to a simple "bag" top. Looks to me like two rectangles sewn together up the sides and at the shoulders. Front rectangle wider than the back to make the pleat.
