The Pilgrim's Progress
John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, finely bound by Riviere and Son in full dark blue morocco, the boards with an elaborate gilt border reminiscent of tongues of fire enclosing borders of twisted thorns, stars, flowers and small circles, within which is a sun-spray decorated lozenge with central lettering. Spine with raised bands with gilt dot rules, panelled in gilt repeating the thorn and star border with double leaf centre tools.
