They roll the dice then have to act out the animal with that feeling. For a little older children have one roll it without others seeing then try and guess what they are acting out. **use pictures instead of words for younger kids/preschool***
Send students on a Non-Fiction Scavenger Hunt to provide them with exposure to Nonfiction text features. I have students work with partners to explore a pre-selected Nonfiction book to find and utilize features within the text.
Who can build the longest paper chain? Students will be in groups and using the materials of glue, scissors, and one piece of construction paper they will create the longest paper chain they can. Groups will be competing against one another.
Colorful music: Fill jars with different amounts of water and color each one a different color. Put out a metal spoon to "play" the jars with and also put out paper and watercolor paints in corresponding colors. Children can write music!
