WWII German Soldier in A Gas Mask Earth, Air, Water, Fire Links to Air

WWII German Soldier in A Gas Mask. Hitler should be given credit for seeing that gas was not used during the European war due to his own disgust with chemical warfare. He had been a gas casualty during the First World War.

Joshua 10:25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight. (Five clip for his K-98 rifle.)

Soldiers sacrifice their mental health at war. Seeing all of the gruesome gore, witnessing mass deaths and being involved in stressful situations often leaves a soldier with post-traumatic stress disorder. When a soldier returns home they often cannot go back to their lives like everything is perfectly fine. They have to alter their life because of the war. War can cause men to suffer.

b17_bomber....my papa was a Captain in WW2 <3

The organised formation of the bomber planes high above ground are a completely different picture to the fire and confusion going on where the bombs hit and this is a very good example of order and disorder in war.

“We will drain our dearest veins, / But they shall be free.” This line reminds me of another poem. Dulce Et Decorum Est, which roughly translates to “it is sweet and fitting to die for one’s country.” Burns's poem shows the opposite, that the deaths dealt during war outweigh victory. The author seems quite genuine which would please many of his readers, as long as they were themselves Scottish. Patriotism is always welcomed. (Prompt 14:2)
