One of the first Mysteries I ever read..The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin
Holes - This was my first time to read the book. I loved the movie and the book seemed to match it pretty well. It was a fun read!
"A Long Way From Chicago" by Rickard Peck-- This book is hilarious! We've all laughed out loud while listening to it. Grandma's character is so loveable and grouchy at the same time! Here's a description: What happens when Joey and his sister, Mary Alice -- two city slickers from Chicago -- make their annual summer visits to Grandma Dowdel's seemingly sleepy Illinois town?
Similar Reads for Stephanie Plum fans! I love this bounty hunter series. Already pinned the 10 thru 19. If you want to read these you start your laughter at One For The Money. The Movie was OK (bad casting IMO) but the books are fantastic! Can't wait for 20 ++++++
The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom. One of the best books I've ever read...definitely in my top 10. God's hand in the life of Corrie, her family, and their mission was so supernatural. Definitely a must read.

List of Molly Murphy Mysteries.
Young adult/adult fairy tale: I found this fun little surprise of a book a few years before the Coraline movie came out. Similar idea - a young unhappy boy finds a strange land in a secret room that SEEMS so much better than his real life. Very dark. . . probably more for adults, but can be read by mature children who like scary stories. I would love to see this as a movie!
Raising girls that LOVE to read! A reading list for girls 11-14 years old.
It's the rare mystery reader who doesn't secretly believe that she'd make a great detective.
