Alan Lee & John Howe  Ik zie deze als een duo omdat zij samen zijn gaan werken tijdens het maken van Lord of the Rings. Ze hebben alle artwork gedaan. De scenes uitgetekend wat vervolgens naar de rest van de art department is gegaan. Hun zijn eigenlijk met samenwerking van Peter de vormgevers geweest van de films. Ze hebben visueel volledig de basis gelegd voor het vertalen van Tolkiens boek.
