Laser Eye Surgery
Patients should be carefully screened for any sign of keratoconus before laser eye surgery. Make sure your doctor does all the necessary checks and if you have got a very high prescription ask your doctor if your cornea is thick enough for the full correction. The Visian ICL may be an option if you're beyond the range for laser. They're your eyes, don't take any chances!
Its not uncommon to get some bruising of the white part of the eye during LASIK. Its cause by the suction that is applied to the surface of the eye by the Intralase laser. Its rarely this bad and the redness usually disappears within 7-10 day. There is no effect on the actual vision correction surgery
